Flying out of Birmingham, this itinerary gives you 7 nights near Masjid al-Haram and 5 nights near Masjid an-Nabawi. You begin in Madinah, then enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah on the way to Makkah.

The 4 star hotels are close to the Haram, include breakfast and have larger rooms. For most families this is the sweet spot: you can rest at the hotel between prayers and still reach the mosque quickly.

The Christmas school holidays are one of the busiest times for British families, so flights around 19 to 21 December fill early. Weather in Makkah is usually warm in the day and comfortable at night.

Day by day

  1. Day 1Depart from Birmingham

    Flight to Madinah, direct or with one connection. Wear comfortable clothes, Ihram is not needed yet.

  2. Day 2Arrive in Madinah

    Transfer to your hotel and rest. Pray your first prayer in Masjid an-Nabawi.

  3. Day 3 to 6Time in Madinah

    Pray in Masjid an-Nabawi and join a guided Ziyarat to Quba Mosque, Uhud and Masjid al-Qiblatayn.

  4. Day 7Enter Ihram and travel to Makkah

    Enter Ihram at Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), then travel to Makkah and perform Umrah after checking in.

  5. Day 8 to 13Worship in Masjid al-Haram

    Pray in the Haram and perform extra Tawaf. Guided Ziyarat of Jabal al-Nour, Mina and Arafat.

  6. Day 13Fly home to Birmingham

    Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Bring Zamzam in the sealed bottles sold at the airport, as airlines limit how it is carried.

Yes. The starting price is per person based on four people sharing a room, including the flight shown. Triple and double room prices are listed above.

Can I travel on different dates?

Yes. Send us the dates you prefer and we will confirm flights and hotel availability. Prices change with the season.

Can I upgrade the hotel?

Yes. You can upgrade one or both hotels. Tell us in your inquiry and we will send the difference in price.
